Nowercise is operated by Dave Poole, based in Herne Bay, Kent. Dave Poole is the data controller for all personal information collected through this website.

What information we collect
When you sign up to an email list (including the book waitlist, app launch list, or any newsletter signup on this site), we collect your name and email address.
When you submit a contact form, we collect your name, email address, phone number, and any information you include in your message.
When you take the CanMove Check, we collect health-related information including your cancer diagnosis, treatment status, current activity levels, and physical symptoms. This is sensitive personal data under UK GDPR and is collected only with your explicit consent.
When you visit this website, our hosting provider (Hostinger) may collect standard server log data including your IP address and browser type. We do not use this data to identify individuals.
If we add analytics tools such as Google Analytics in future, this policy will be updated to reflect that.
Why we collect it and our lawful basis
Email signups — we collect your name and email to send you the information you signed up for, and occasional relevant updates about Nowercise. The lawful basis is consent. You can withdraw consent and unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email we send.
Contact form submissions — we collect your information to respond to your enquiry. The lawful basis is legitimate interests.
CanMove Check data — we collect health information to provide you with a personalised exercise starting point. The lawful basis is explicit consent, which you give when you submit the check. This data is stored securely and is not shared with third parties.
How long we keep your information
Email list subscribers — for as long as you remain subscribed. When you unsubscribe, your data is removed from our active lists within 30 days.
Contact form submissions — we retain these for up to two years, then delete them.
CanMove Check responses — retained in aggregated, anonymised form for research and service improvement purposes. Individual identifying information is not retained beyond the initial assessment.
Who we share your information with
We do not sell your personal information to anyone.
We use the following third-party services to operate this website and its communications:
- GetResponse — email marketing platform. Your name and email are stored on GetResponse servers when you sign up to an email list. GetResponse operates under appropriate data transfer safeguards. You can read their privacy policy at getresponse.com/legal.
- JotForm — contact form provider. Submissions made through our contact form are stored on JotForm servers. You can read their privacy policy at jotform.com/privacy.
- Hostinger — website hosting provider. Website data is stored on Hostinger servers. You can read their privacy policy at hostinger.co.uk/privacy-policy.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Ask us to correct inaccurate information
- Ask us to delete your information
- Withdraw consent at any time (where consent is our lawful basis)
- Object to how we use your information
- Make a complaint to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk
